What this site is

The Truth about Dogs Repository is a curated, read-only archive of public evidence on humane, force-free dog training. We collect, summarize, and link to peer-reviewed studies, official position statements, and expert publications so visitors can find and verify sources easily.

This site is a free educational resource. There is no paid access, no user accounts, and no submission or upload features.

Use of content

Every resource card links to its original, primary source. Wherever possible, we provide excerpts, summaries, and citations for educational purposes.

You are welcome to share links to this archive, quote short excerpts with attribution, and use the repository for personal education, research, or professional reference. Redistribution of full-length resources (e.g. PDFs) should happen through the original publisher or author's channels — not from this site.

We do not claim copyright over third-party papers, studies, or statements. All credit belongs to the original authors, journals, and organizations.

User-generated content

The Truth about Dogs Repository does not currently accept user submissions, comments, uploads, or forum posts. All content is selected and published by the editorial team.

If in the future we add features that allow user contributions (e.g. suggested resources or feedback), those contributions must be respectful, accurate, and free of spam, hate speech, or illegal material. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these standards.

Accuracy & updates

We do our best to keep summaries accurate, up to date, and faithfully representative of the original sources. Research evolves, and we update cards when new findings emerge.

That said, we are human. If you spot an error, an outdated link, or a misrepresented finding, please let us know and we will correct it.

Availability

We aim to keep the archive available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The site may be down for maintenance, or affected by issues beyond our control.
